For the past few years I've been a strong advocate of Gun Owners of America as a pro-gun alternative to the gun rights sellout National Rifle Association, but I just lost a bunch of respect for GOA. Although they fully understand, the "shall not be infringed," part, they seem to have some difficulty with the, "right of the people," part.
Max Kessler and Chris Edes spoke out at Tuesday's Rochester City Council meeting to demand that Council repeal the unconstitutional ban on so-called, "assault weapons." Each speech was followed by enthusiastic applause with no negative reactions.
On July 20th, a number of pro-RKBA people will speak to the Rochester City Council about repealing the ban on so-called, "assault weapons." The ban was upheld in 1994 on the false grounds that the Second Amendment conferred a collective right and that it only restrained Congress, not the States.
